Promoting a Lobbying Organization’s Events/Programs
Just like many other private businesses, lobbying organizations promote many worthwhile causes including charitable events and/or opportunities that provide assistance to Ohio citizens (e.g. private grants or scholarships). While these opportunities and programs are meaningful and valuable, please remember that the promotion and advertisement of these programs (including non-profit endeavors) should be done by the lobbying organizations themselves. Lobbyists should not request legislators and/or legislative staff use official resources to promote, endorse, or advertise the lobbying organization’s private business, advocacy days, or charitable endeavors.
