Lobbying Registration Renewals

On December 31, 2013 ALL EXECUTIVE AGENCY LOBBYING* AND RETIREMENT SYSTEM LOBBYING ENGAGEMENTS will expire in OLAC. Legislative lobbying engagements do not expire until the end of 2014.

JLEC routinely reviews and makes updates to section IV in the Executive Agency registration (Categorical listing of offices of Elected Executive Officials, Departments or Executive Agencies to which the engagement relates). Please be sure to REVIEW and EDIT as necessary during the renewal process.

Starting December 15th lobbyists can begin renewing engagements in their OLAC accounts.** All renewed engagements must be submitted in OLAC by January 31st.

Remember: Registration Renewals no longer require the employer signature.

The renewal process will end on January 31, 2014. Registrations filed after this date will require a Signature Page signed by both the lobbyist and the employer along with the filing fee.

In order for renewed registrations to become active, an Invoice and filing fee ($25 per engagement) must be received by the OLIG by February 10th for each 2014 engagement. To generate the invoice, click on the ‘Print Invoice’ button located at the top of each registration confirmation page.

Note- the 2014 lobbying calendar is now available at http://www.ohiolobbying.com.

* “Executive Agency Lobbying” refers to those who lobby the executive agencies and not to those employed in the agencies, as liaisons or in other legislative advocacy roles.
** Lobbyists should only renew engagements for entities that they intend to lobby on behalf of in 2014.
